CONJUNCTIVAL STAINING



Using a wide beam and the 
filters, the conjunctiva should 
be examined for staining.  It is 
normal to have areas of pooling 
of fluorescein on the conjunctiva, 
especially with older patients 
where the conjunctiva is looser 
and more wrinkled.
